ARKANSAS TRUCKING ASSOCIATION ACCEPTING ROAD TEAM NOMINATIONS

The Arkansas Trucking Association is now accepting nominations for professional drivers in order to expand its Arkansas Road Team.

Formed in 2015, this group of Arkansas-based professional drivers serve as ambassadors for the trucking industry. Through their Share the Road program, they visit schools and other events around the state to address highway safety and to educate the public - especially younger drivers - on safe driving.

This Arkansas Trucking Association-sponsored program is a public education service made possible through the Arkansas Commercial Truck Safety Education Program.

Successful candidates will possess outstanding communication skills and a commitment to safety and professionalism. Arkansas Trucking Association carrier members are encouraged to nominate their best drivers for the Arkansas Road Team today!

Nominations must be received by the Arkansas Trucking Association by close of business on Tuesday, September 26.

There's no phone call, no message, that’s more important than your safety, and the safety of the people on the road around you. Please join me – put your phone away until you get where you’re going.

Driving under the influence is never acceptable.  You’re putting other people at risk – not just yourself.

Call a cab. Have a designated driver.  Just don’t get behind the wheel.

Parents, talk to your children about driving safely before they reach driving age.  And set the standard!  Be the kind of driver you want your kids to be.  That means put down the phone, and don’t drive aggressively.  Let’s all share the road – safely.

Things happen quickly out here.  When drivers are distracted behind the wheel, it's as bad or worse than driving under the influence.  Please – don’t do either one.  Put the phone down, and never drink and drive.  I want to get home to see my family, and I want you to do the same.
