The day to day development of fleet maintenance technicians has become one of the most challenging areas in our field of business. Constant changes in equipment, technology, regulations, and RPs (recommended practices) are received almost daily, and our professionals are expected to resource and repair.  In this session, John Sherman will introduce a modern approach in the field of mentoring.  Generations today have tremendous resources, value learning, enjoy collaboration, and appreciate support.  You will have the opportunity to consider a modern mentoring approach, and provide feedback to others on your current programs and discuss successes, challenges, and failures.

John W. Sherman, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PCC

John Sherman is the former managing director of people development for FedEx Freight.  During his 23 years with FedEx, Sherman led their sales, quality, communications, talent/learning and development, and video production teams.  Sherman now provides speaking and consulting services within North America in the areas of human resources, talent development, organizational effectiveness, sales and marketing.  Sherman is a certified executive coach, and also develops performance services in the area of coaching, communication, leadership development, quality improvement, change management, and mentoring. Currently Sherman is currently working with the ArcBest Corporation, Fort Smith AR.

The meeting will conclude with a tour of ArcBest's facilities, so please come and join the discussion on a modern approach to mentoring and share your experiences.

Registration for this event closes Friday, November 10 so we can properly accommodate everyone.
