ATA to host blockchain experts in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, ARK. - Arkansas Trucking Association’s Accounting & Finance Council is hosting a Blockchain Primer next week, on Tuesday, March 6, in Little Rock, Ark for its first quarterly meeting.

The meeting will be held from 10 am to 2 pm, and lunch will be sponsored by McLeod Software and served while attendees network with other accounting and finance professionals in the industry and learn from experts in a workshop-style setting.

You’ve heard that blockchain will be the industry’s next disruption, come learn the basics from expert Ken Craig of McLeod Software who will  be presenting Blockchain 101. Craig has provided virtual CIO consulting, IT leadership, and strategic planning to many American companies helping them with all aspects of enterprise information systems including strategic planning, operations management, data management, and project execution.

President of the Blockchain in Transport Alliance (BITA) Chris Burrus will explain why blockchain technology will revolutionize transportation. Burruss is the former president of the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and former CEO of the Tennessee Trucking Association.

Students from the University of Arkansas College of Business’ winning Hackathon team will also present the blockchain project that offers a solution to optimize the carrier payment process.
