Playing for the PAC has never been easier than with the inaugural Arkansas Trucking Association bracket challenge. There were 37 brackets submitted with predictions for the NCAA Men’s Championship Basketball Tournament along with a donation to the ATA PAC for a chance to win prizes.
On April 5, Baylor University won their first-ever National Championship as they defeated Gonzaga in the final game. In all, 11 individuals took home prizes for points earned during the six rounds, and the tournament MVP, Tiffany Senavinin of Maverick Transportation, won $600 cash.
“We are always looking for new and interesting ways to engage members with the ATA PAC, and this was the perfect, COVID-friendly opportunity to tap into people’s basketball fandom while promoting the PAC,” said ATA President Shannon Newton. “By playing for the PAC, we are able to educate policy makers, promote advocacy efforts and financially support public officials and candidates who support our organization’s agenda.”
ATA members can expect other opportunities to Play for the PAC throughout the year. Golf and bowling tournaments have become regular events with on-site raffles available for guests who don’t want to compete on the greens or the lanes.
